LSU is down to one running back.
Following the portal announcements JuJuan Johnson and Kaleb Jackson, junior Caden Durham has announced he’ll enter to the portal. The sophomore from Dallas was the SEC Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2024 when he led the Tigers with 753 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie. He played through injuries again in 2025 and finished the regular season with a team-best 505 yards and added three touchdowns.
CBS Sports was the first to report the news.
Durham was a consensus four-star recruit who picked the Tigers over Oklahoma where his mother ran track.
New LSU running backs coach Kevin Smith inherits a room that only includes freshman Harlem Berry.
Durham has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
