Heading into Monday Night Football, Matthew Stafford was a -250 favorite to win MVP while Drake May was +185 to win the award.
After Stafford’s three interception performance and the Rams second straight loss, the odds have flipped significantly in Drake Maye’s favor. Maye is now -350 to win MVP while Stafford is +225.
If Maye wins the award, he will be the third second year player to win the award. The others were Lamar Jackson in 2019, Patrick Mahomes in 2018, Kurt Warner (and his bizarre journey) in 1999 and Dan Marino in 1984. I also believe Carson Wentz would have won in 2017 if not injured.
We also have the seventh new favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year with Tyler Shough. Other favorites throughout the year were Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty, Emeka Egbuka, Jaxson Dart, Tetairoa McMillan and Treveyon Henderson.
Additionally, the oddsmakers have re-opened Protector of the Year and Assistant Coach of the Year for the first time since Week 1.
Here are notes for each award along with some changes from the previous week.
- MVP
- Everyone but Matthew Stafford and Drake Maye are now off the board.
- Stafford remains the favorite.
- Defensive Player of the Year
- Myles Garrett was a massive favorite at -20000 (1/200) so they have been pulled and are now off the board
- Coach of the Year
- Mike Vrabel remains the favorite but now a smaller favorite.
- Kyle Shanahan has moved up to second.
- Offensive Rookie of the Year
- Tyler Shough after leading the Saints to four straight wins is the new favorite.
- Defensive Rookie of the Year
- Carson Schwesinger is a massive favorite which would give the Browns both defensive awards despite a 4-12 record (currently).
- Opening favorite Abdul Carter is now off the board
- Offensive Player of the Year
- JSN is still the favorite with McCaffrey moving up to second.
- Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs are now off the board.
- Comeback Player of the Year
- Christan McCaffrey is a massive favorite

- Penei Sewell was the opening favorite.
- Assistant Coach of the Year
- Joe Brady was the opening favorite.
