For the second day in a row, the New Orleans Saints appear to be headed into the season finale with several missing contributors.
The following players were among those not spotted during the open portion of Thursday’s Saints practice by reporters:
- WR Chris Olave (illness)
- WR Mason Tipton (groin)
- RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle)
- CB Michael Davis (shoulder)
- OL Dillon Radunz (knee)
- TE Zaire Mitchell-Paden (ankle)
- TE Jack Stoll (knee)
- DT Bryan Bresee (knee)
- DT Davon Godchaux (NIR-rest)
- DT Nathan Shepherd (ankle/knee)
The list remains the same as Wednesday, but with the typical Thursday addition of Godchaux, who is always given a rest day on Thursdays while the team works third down situations and drills.
It has already been reported that the Saints will be without Olave, as the talented wideout manages recovery after being treated for a blood clot in one of his lungs. Head coach Kellen Moore did also say Wednesday that Stoll will be out, as well.
Any return for Kamara before the season is over appears to be out of reach at this point and New Orleans may also end up being without Tipton again, further hampering the wide receiver room.
The Saints’ offense has already been severely limited in recent weeks, and they’ll see little to no relief to close out the season.
