Breaking: LSU WR Hilton to make season debut against UCLA

BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton, Jr., is set to make his season debut for the Tigers Saturday against UCLA.
Brian Kelly listed Hilton as probable on the team’s injury report, but the junior is dresses and going through pregame warmups, preparing to play against the Bruins.
The 6-foot, 190 pound redshirt junior was injured late in fall camp with a bone bruise to his foot, which has caused him to miss the first three games of the season. Redshirt freshman Kyle Parker as replaced Hilton during his absence.
“You can’t be out almost a month and just jump in,” Brian Kelly said of Hilton on Thursday. “It takes a while. I hope everybody’s expectations are where he can’t just come in and pick up where he left off. It’s going to take a few weeks for him to get back into action.”
Hilton’s track speed is an element the LSU passing game has missed with a true deep threat. For his career, Hilton is averaging 18.9 yards per reception.
“He’s going to help us,” Kelly said. “And he’s going to be a main player in what we do before the season’s over.”
