LSU has landed a transfer quarterback–finally.
Elon transfer Landen Clark picked LSU (Sunday) after visiting Baton Rouge Friday. He chose the Tigers over Kentucky, Michigan and James Madison. He is the first scholarship quarterback on the roster for 2026.
On3 was the first to report the commitment.
Clark (6’0, 186) did not have a ranking coming out of Radford (Va.) when he signed with Elon. As a freshman in 2024, he played in four games, attempting just one pass. As a sophomore, Clark started 12 games, throwing for 2,321 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
LSU continues its pursuit of top portal targets such as Arizona State transfer Sam Leavitt and USC freshman Husan Longstreet, both of whom have visited Baton Rouge. The Tigers also hosted Brendan Sorsby who signed with Texas Tech.
LSU has seen its quarterback room thin out since the end of the season. Garrett Nussmeier is out of eligibility while Colin Hurley and Ju’Juan Johnson entered the transfer portal. The Tigers did not sign a quarterback in the December signing period.
Clark has three years of eligibility remaining.
