In two seasons at UCF, Gage (5’11, 210) played in 11 games with 13 rushing attempts and one touchdown. He will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
LSU retained former five-star running back Harlem Berry along with Caden Durham after he briefly entered the transfer portal. The Tigers previously added three backs via the portal in Raycine Guillory, Rod Gainey and Dilin Jones. LSU did not sign a running back in the December signing period.
As a recruit, Gage was a three-star out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas. He was the No. 41 running back in the nation and held offers from more than two dozen schools including Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State and Georgia.
LSU currently has the No. 1 transfer portal class according to 247 Sports.
