Several players that would have garnered a ton of attention from the New Orleans Saints will no longer be participating in the Panini Senior Bowl this year, despite accepting invitations at an earlier time.
Per NFL and College Football analyst Ryan Fowler, some of the draft’s biggest names will no longer see the field in Mobile, Ala.
After initially accepting invitations, there will be no David Bailey, Rueben Bain Jr, Keionte Scott, KC Concepcion, Germie Bernard, or Akheem Mesidor at the Senior Bowl this week, among others.

Miami pass rushers Reuben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor, as well as Texas Tech edge rusher David, are all set to be off the board in the opening round. Bain and Bailey could each be selected by the time the Saints pick at No. 8 overall.
Meanwhile, Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion and Miami cornerback Keionte Scott will also no longer be a part of the collegiate all-star collection. Both players could end up in the Saints’ line of sight on day two of the NFL Draft.
Concepcion would be a uniquely talented and explosive yards-after-catch threat in head coach Kellen Moore’s offense while the 6-foot, 194-pound physical Scott could be an intriguing slot corner option or “STAR” player in defensive coordinator Brandon Staley’s scheme.
There may be other players to withdraw, as well, especially as travel plans become complicated with the ongoing winter storm.
The decision to not participate isn’t a knock on the players, either. There’s a litany of reasons, including personal ones, that can lead to these withdrawals. And while the players listed (and more) won’t participate, they won’t become any less desirable as early draft options. However the Saints, who have seven members of their staff on one of the Senior Bowl team’s coaching staffs, won’t get their up-close-and-personal look as soon as they may have hoped.
