Garrett Nussmeier‘s last time in an LSU helmet was a memorable one.
The former Tiger quarterback was named MVP of the Panini Senior Bowl on Saturday afternoon in Mobile. He led a scoring drive and finished it with a three-yard touchdown run on a read option keeper off the right side of the offensive line.

Nussmeier finished the game 5-for-8 for 57 yards and an interception though the pick was deflected off his wide receiver’s hands. His American team won 17-9.
It was his first game action since LSU’s October 25 loss to Texas A&M. An abdominal injury that had nagged him since August finally shut him down for the season’s final month.
Now the NFL Combine and LSU’s Pro Day await as Nussmeier attempts to make up for a disappointing senior season with a healthy pre-draft process.
