Missouri Athletics

It’s time to make some money with the best bets for SEC basketball. The lock of the week is now 5-0 this season, and we’ll try to stay hot on Valentine’s Day.
Best Bets
- Missouri ML – Lock of the Week
- Arkansas -6.5
- South Carolina Under 35.5 1st Half points
- Oklahoma -1.5 – Lock of the Week Pt. II
- Vanderbilt/Texas A&M Over 165.5
Reasons Why
Missouri at home against Texas is a steal with Missouri moneyline at -140. Texas has played better recently with three straight wins, but the Longhorns are 4-6 away from home. The three straight wins for Texas are nice, but Missouri has also won three in a row, and they return home to Columbia where they are 13-1 this season.
Take Oklahoma at home against Georgia. I like this pick so much we decided to get cocky and make two locks of the week for the first time this season. Georgia has lost four of their last five with their only win coming against LSU. Oklahoma is coming off a huge win on the road at Vanderbilt, and has had a timely bye week with no midweek game. Take Oklahoma in Norman.
South Carolina under 35.5 first half points feels like a great play this week. The Gamecocks are awful first and foremost, and they’re not great in the first half especially. They rank 148th nationally in first half points per game at 35.8. That number drops to 32.5 away from home. They’re facing an Alabama team that ranks third nationally in first half points per game at 44.2 ppg.
The over in the Vanderbilt/Texas A&M game is a fantastic play on paper. Both Teams rank in the top ten nationally in scoring offense. The big question is whether or not Texas A&M’s offense will travel to Memorial Gymnasium which can be tough on opponents with sight lines for shooters. Still, both teams should put up a lot of points considering neither team’s defense ranks inside the top 150 in the country and Texas A&M ranks 277th allowing over 78 points per game.
