We’ve had four straight weeks of winning weekends. On top of that, the lock of the week is 6-1, so let’s keep it rolling.
All 16 teams will be in action this Saturday. Here are our five best bets for Saturday’s SEC hoops action.
Best Bets
- Missouri +10.5 – Lock of the Week
- Vanderbilt Moneyline
- Alabama -7
- Kentucky +3.5
- LSU Under 82.5 points
- Aden Holloway Over 1.5 3 pointers
Reasons Why
Arkansas is coming off a loss and returning home to Fayetteville where they are 13-1 at home. Missouri, and their hopes to make the NCAA tournament, continue to slip. They currently project as a No. 10 seed in Joe Lunardi’s latest bracketology and they desperately need a win. I don’t think they’ll get that at Bud Walton Arena, but I do think they’ll keep it closer than double digits.

I said this earlier this week that the line in the Kentucky-Auburn game is worrisome because it feels like sportsbooks are begging you to take Kentucky. I will happily fall into that trap knowing that Auburn is on a five game losing streak and favored over the most expensive roster in college basketball. Kentucky has been underwhelming throughout the season, but they are still very talented.
Alabama and LSU is going to be a massacre. LSU is one of the worst teams in the SEC, and hosting an Alabama team that has won five straight and is averaging 99 points per game. I love them to cover the 7.5, and I love LSU under 82.5 points.
Alabama’s defense is pretty awful and ranks 352nd in the country in points allowed, but LSU isn’t good at most things in general on a basketball court. Their over/under for points on Saturday is 82.5. In 13 conference games this season they have scored over 82.5 points in just two of them. Also they rank 287th in the country in opponents three point percentage (35.8 percent), and Holloway leads the SEC in three point percentage at 44.9 percent.
