The New Orleans Saints have begun their pre-draft visits with upcoming prospects and set their sights first on a developmental, late-round tackle with promising potential.
Per NFL and college football analyst Ryan Fowler, the Saints have scheduled a private workout with Clemson offensive lineman Tristan Leigh ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Leigh, a former five-star recruit who was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine is listed at 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds. He attended this year’s Shrine Bowl, where the Saints would have gotten their eyes on him.
Apparently, that first impression was enough to pursue an extended look.
The tackle checks a lot of the Saints’ boxes from last year’s draft. In addition to attending a post-season showcase, he was a team captain at Clemson in 2025, has appeared in more than 40 games over his career and has a durable history despite missing a trio of games last year.
Leigh has taken more than 2,000 career snaps at left tackle with sparse play at right guard and right tackle as well. Having spent his entire five-year collegiate career with Clemson, the tackle is credited by Pro Football Focus with surrendering seven sacks, just one in 2026.

At nearly 23 years old, the offensive line prospect is expected to be a day three (rounds four through seven) selection but is a player often noted for having an extremely high ceiling. Evaluators praise his movement ability and leadership as he climbed from depth player to 11-game starter in 2025.
New Orleans needs an injection of more talent along the offensive line. While Leigh isn’t projected to be a day one starter, he’d be a worthwhile addition late in the draft because of his upside.
