It wasn’t a great start for our picks, but it was a great first day of the SEC Basketball Tournament in Nashville. It featured a huge 13 point comeback from Oklahoma against South Carolina and the first big upset of SEC postseason play as Ole MIss beat Texas.
Here are the best plays for day two of the tournament.
Best Bets
- Auburn +5.5
- Georgia -5.5
- Georgia Over 79.5 points – Lock of the Day
- Oklahoma ML +125
Hear Me Out
We are going to keep it simple today. No parlays, no teasers and absolutely no trust in Kentucky to win an important game.
We’re going to stay with Auburn after how well they played yesterday. That may be a mistake considering how bad they played down the stretch, but they’re coming off their best defensive performance in two months. They’re also playing against a Tennessee team that may still be without their best player Nate Ament. Take the Tigers and the points, and watch them punch their ticket off the bubble and into the NCAA tournament with a win.
We are also going to take Georgia. The Dawgs lost to Ole Miss in their first meeting, but they finished the regular season winning five of their last six. I also love them to go over their team total today of 79.5 points. They scored 80 or more points in five straight games and scored 95 against Ole Miss earlier this year when they met which was the fourth most points scored in any SEC game for them this season.
