After having just two losing weekends over nine weeks of the regular season we have had back to back losing days to start the SEC Tournament. The research has been there, but the execution not so much. Time to get back up on the metaphorical horse and try again.
Here are our best bets for Friday, day three of the SEC Tournament in Nashville.
Best Bets
- Vanderbilt +1
- Alabama -11.5
- Alabama Over 42 Points 1st Half
- Alabama Over 86.5 Points
- Amari Allen Over 1.5 3 Pointers
- Oklahoma +7.5 – Lock of the Day
Let me explain
The one thing we have been right about in this tournament is Oklahoma. In our SEC Tournament preview I picked them to be the Wednesday team that could make the deepest run in Nashville, and I picked them to win outright against Texas A&M.
I don’t think they necessarily win outright today because I think Arkansas is really good. They’re currently the first team out of the NCAA tournament in the latest bracketology, and I expect them to stay hot. They’ve won eight of their last ten, and Nijel Pack has been incredible during that run shooting over 52.1 percent from deep.
The other game I really like is Alabama over Ole Miss. The Rebels are playing the best they’ve played all season getting two straight upsets in the tournament. The last time these two met however, Alabama ran them out of the gym on their own floor by 19. Alabama has scored over 86 points in nine of their last ten games.
