Will Wade will be introduced as LSU’s next head coach in the coming days.
The WAFB Channel 9 team acquired the term sheet Wade has signed. His contract will be presented to the LSU Board of Supervisors at the next meeting in late April.
The deal is for seven years with a base salary of $400,000. His supplemental compensation begins at $3,600,000 in 2026-27 for a total of $4,000,000 which will escalate by $100,000 the following five seasons and flatten at a total of $4,500,000 for year seven.
Wade’s buyout to leave LSU for another job starts at $5,000,000 before April 1, 2027, and drops by $1,000,000 every subsequent year to $0 after April 1, 2032.
