One member of LSU’s talented freshman class won’t return.
Bella Hines will enter the transfer portal following one season in Baton Rouge. The former four-star recruit played in 33 games for Kim Mulkey’s Tigers. She averaged 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds for the Sweet 16 finishers.
Hines progressively played more as the season went on, logging 15-plus minutes in five of LSU last eight games. At 5-foot-10, she showed the ability to shoot the three ball at 37 percent.
Much of the Tiger nucleus returns, but it appears Hines will need to be replaced.
