It’s Atlanta for Harold Perkins.
The Falcons selected the former Tiger linebacker with the 215th pick in Roud 6 selection of the NFL Draft on Saturday. Now, it’s up to the Falcons staff to find the best way to use him.
After exploding onto the college football scene as a freshman in 2022 with 7.5 sacks, Perkins never really recaptured that magic of the season. The next three seasons only produced 9.5 sacks, and he was sidelines for the second half of 2024 with a torn ACL.
Perkins possesses elite athleticism, his 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame makes him a tough positional fit at inside linebacker or on the edge.
The Houston product leaves LSU as a three-time All-SEC performer and just outside the top 10 on LSU’s all time tackles for loss list at 35.5. Now it’s off to Atlanta.
