Earlier this week, RedditCFB released a chart breaking down the strength of schedule rankings for the 2026 season. To the surprise of no one the list was littered with sEC teams at the top.
Every year we see the same story regardless of the source, platform or metrics. It’s one of the universal truths in this sport. Sure, the SEC hasn’t won a national title in the last three years, and they haven’t played for a title in that span either. The SEC is still the deepest conference in the country. The NFL Draft, weekly rankings and basic eye tests continue to prove that.
The best part of the RedditCFB rankings is just how unabashedly anti-SEC that platform has been in their social media posts over the last few years. Few places have leaned into dunking on the conference while it’s “down” more than that account.
It makes their own findings even more hysterical. Here’s a look at their strength of schedule rankings for every SEC team this upcoming season.
No. 1 Texas
No. 2 Kentucky
No. 4 Oklahoma
No. 6 Mississippi State
No. 9 Arkansas
No. 11 Alabama
No. 12 Florida
No. 14 LSU
No. 17 Georgia
No. 19 Vanderbilt
No. 20 Tennessee
No. 21 Ole Miss
No. 25 Texas A&M
No. 29 South Carolina
No. 31 Missouri
No. 32 Auburn
This is the third year in a row that the entire 16 team league is ranked inside the top 35 nationally.
Shockingly, the five teams ranked in the top ten is the fewest in as many years for the league. The previous low in the preseason was seven. That’s especially surprising since SEC teams are moving to a nine game conference schedule.
The SEC occupied 16 of the top 32 spots. As for the rest of the conferences, here’s how many of their teams were also ranked in the same top 32 – B1G (8), ACC (7), Big 12 (1).
It’s still the SEC and everyone else.
