Thirty conference games have come and gone, and now it’s time for postseason baseball. Here are our final SEC power rankings heading into the postseason.
1. Georgia
The Bulldogs finished 23-7, winning the conference by 3.5 games after being picked to finish ninth in the league in the preseason. Georgia led the SEC in hitting with a .325 average and the nation in home runs with 147. For whatever reason this team still isn’t garnering the national respect it deserves and aren’t a unanimous top five projected team for the postseason seedings which is absurd.

2. Texas
The pitching got roughed up a little late in the season and their team ERA rose almost a full run in the last month. Offensively they can do it all, ranking in the top three in the league for on base percentage and stolen bases and top five in home runs and batting average. Their pitching will emerge in the postseason as well as the Horns seem destined for Omaha.
3. Auburn
It’s wild to see this Auburn team play and then look at where they sit in the current SEC standings. They have the best pitching staff in America and continue to win despite playing the toughest schedule in the SEC. They won seven of their ten SEC series, losing only to Texas, Alabama, and Georgia.
4. Texas A&M
The Aggies got their swagger back to close out the year. Their lineup is one of the best in the country, finishing the year ranked second in the league in home runs (114) and slugging percentage (.424), and top three in batting average (.305). Their lineup can get them to Omaha, but the pitching still remains a question mark.
LHP Ethan Darden will start for No. 10 Texas A&M, marking his second start of the series.

5. Alabama
There is no bigger enigma in the conference than Alabama. They strike out a ton, and only hit .252 as a team. Even potential top ten pick Justin Lebron has struggled at the plate, hitting just .261. But they just win games. The Tide finished the regular season as the No. 4 seed at 18-12 and swept series against Auburn and Florida.

Second Tier Teams
6. Arkansas
There are some projections that don’t have the Hogs hosting which would be insane. They’re catching fire at the right time, winning five of their last six series in conference play.
7. Mississippi State
Florida should probably be here considering they went 18-12 and are a No. 5 seed in the SEC tournament, but I’m still not selling my shares of State Stock (™). The Bulldogs are going to Omaha. Book it.
8. Florida
The Gators are dangerous because the lefties in their lineup can absolutely mash, and the top end of their rotation can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the country. If they can get to a Super Regional they are tough to beat because Aidan King is invincible.

9. Tennessee
Everyone’s worst nightmare is happening. Tennessee is starting to play their best baseball. They closed the year winning three of their final four series including wins over Alabama and Texas.
10. Ole Miss
Man this team is frustrating to watch. Still, at 36-20 they’ve had a really good season under the radar.
