Taysom Hill, Pete Werner among practice absences on Wednesday

It was a light practice for the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday per multiple reports. The team is coming off of a Monday night game, and typically that means a lighter work load early in the following week. It seems like the Saints will follow that trend.

The following players were not seen participating in the portion of Saints practice open to the media, per Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football.

QB Derek Carr

S Will Harris

TE Taysom Hill

LB Pete Werner

OL Cesar Ruiz

OL Lucas Patrick

LB Willie Gay Jr. – Per Jeff Nowak

The big story from today is that the Saints will start rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. More info on injuries will be made available once the injury report is provided by both clubs.
