Lee Sterling’s LSU-Ole Miss Prediction

Each week, professional handicapper Lee Sterling joins “After Further Review” with Matt Moscona to preview the biggest football games of the weekend. Here is his pick for LSU vs. Ole Miss on Saturday night in Baton Rogue:
You look at the stat that they’re 4-1-1 as home dogs since 2021 and the fact that they’re coming off a bye, it would look like you buy on here and and I still don’t think Ole Miss is going to go the whole season unscathed. But I think they have some advantages here. LSU still can’t run the ball real well, under 135 rushing yards versus the three power five teams this year they played, and now we know South Carolina is not a good team and they allowed 243 rushing yards. So this loss that Ole Miss had a couple weeks ago, might have done them some good. Sometimes you pull together as a team here. Garrett Nussmeier, I think, is good. I think he’s he’s a capable replacement for Jayden Daniels. Still has not won the big game. His biggest win so far. Purdue, Wisconsin in bowl games and also South Carolina. I’m hearing Tre Harris will play in the game. And if that’s the case, I like Ole Miss, 35-28.
