The former Pro Bowler signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason, but never played a snap with the team. He was released on October 8.
His sharp decline has been a curious one. White was the fifth overall selection in the 2019 draft by Tampa Bay. He was second-team All Pro for the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers in 2020 and a Pro Bowler in 2021. White and the Bucs could not come to terms on a contract extension, so he requested a trade during the 2023 offseason. The team released him before he eventually signed with the Eagles.
In Houston, he will play for former All Pro linebacker DeMeco Ryans. The Texans are 5-2 and currently in first place in the AFC South.
