Jamaal Williams among inactives for Saints versus Falcons

Expect the run game to funnel through the usual suspects for the New Orleans Saints as they host the rival Atlanta Falcons. One of their complementary running backs, Jamaal Willaims, will be among the inactives on Sunday. Running back Alvin Kamra is just 12 yards away from becoming the team’s career rushing yards leader. Expect him and tight end Taysom Hill to pace the rushing attack.
Here is the list of Saints inactives for Sunday’s game:
WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (Shoulder)
CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (Hamstring)
QB Spencer Rattler (Emergency Third QB)
RB Jamaal Williams (Groin)
LB Jaylan Ford
C/G Lucas Patrick (Ankle)
DT Khristian Boyd
No big surprises on this week’s list. Ford and Boyd have been typical healthy scratches for some time while fellow rookie Rattler continues to be the emergency third quarterback.
Williams, Wilson Jr., McKinstry and Patrick were all expected to miss due to injury. Based on last week’s game, second-year lineman Nick Saldiveri may be the starter in place of Patrick at left guard. Saldiveri was called upon in relief of Patrick last week. Though new Interim Head Coach Darren Rizzi has been shaking things up this week. So, warm-ups will tell us more about who to expect to help out on the interior.
