Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman will return in 2025 according to a tweet from Brett McMurphy of Action Network. There was some speculation over the last several weeks of the season that Pittman may step down or even retire.
Pittman is 29-31 overall during his tenure in Fayetteville while also taking the Razorbacks to four bowl games in those five years. Arkansas had won a combined eight games in the three years prior to his hiring in 2020. Pittman’s sixth season will guarantee that he will be the longest tenured coach at Arkansas since Houston Nutt coached the team from 1998-2007.
Arkansas finished this season 6-6 and they are awaiting their bowl game announcement following conference championship games.
