Tennessee freshman wide receiver Mike Matthews will reportedly stay in Knoxville and play for the Vols in 2025.
The former five-star from Parkview High School in Lilburn, Ga., had entered the portal shortly after Tennessee’s loss to Ohio State in the first round of the college football playoff. Matthews had a quiet freshman season with seven catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
The composite five-star and No. 26 overall player in the country will have three years of eligibility remaining.
