LSU’s search for secondary help continues.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that former Auburn defensive back Keionte Scott will visit LSU this week.

Scott spent three seasons at Auburn playing a variety of roles in the secondary. Prior to his time on the Plains he was a two-time junior college All-American at Snow College. Because of the new NCAA rules deeming junior college seasons do not count toward eligibility, Scott has one season of college football left to play.

At Auburn, Scott started 23 games and totaled 115 tackles and 10 passes defended.

LSU is looking for additional depth and talent at safety in 2025. Head coach Brian Kelly mentioned multiple times during the season that LSU needed more production from the safety spot. Major Burns is out of eligibility, and Sage Ryan as transferred to Ole Miss. Kylin Jackson and Jordan Allen entered the transfer portal as well.

DaShawn Spears, Jardin Gilbert and Javien Toviano represent all of LSU returning experience. Virginia Tech standout Mansoor Delane, who can play cornerback or safety, was among LSU’s early transfer portal additions in December. Scott features similar versatility.

USC and Houston are reportedly also interested in Scott.
