Report: Saints request interview with Bills OC Joe Brady

By Ross Jackson
The search is underway. The New Orleans Saints wrapped up their season Sunday, and reports of head coaching interviews are already emerging.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Saints have requested an interview with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
The move makes sense for New Orleans. Brady served as an offensive assistant with the Saints during the 2018 and 2019 seasons before joining LSU, where he helped lead the Tigers to a national championship in 2019.
The Bills’ offense thrived under Brady this season, finishing as the NFL’s No. 2 scoring offense while committing the fewest turnovers in the league. The team also ranked ninth in both passing and rushing yardage, bolstering Brady’s resume as a young and promising offensive mind.
Brady has shown notable growth since his stint as the Carolina Panthers’ offensive coordinator in 2020-2021, demonstrating significant potential. However, if hired, his addition would likely signal the end of current offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak’s tenure with the team after just one season.
Brady is one of two candidates reportedly on the Saints’ interview request list. On Monday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Saints are also expected to interview Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, another former New Orleans staff member.
Interim head coach Darren Rizzi confirmed during his end-of-year media availability Monday that he will also interview for the full-time role in the coming weeks.
