Three LSU Tigers have made Perfect Game’s Top 15 freshmen for the upcoming season.
Outfielder Derek Curiel took the top spot. The West Covina, Calif., native enjoyed a tremendous first fall with the program. He’s a polished left-handed hitter with a wiry frame he continues to grow into.
Baton Rouge native and Catholic high product William Schmidt comes in at No. 4 on the list. The hard-throwing right hander is among about a half a dozen competing for a starting role on the weekend.
Cade Arrambide is the top ranked catcher on the list, coming in at No. 15. Arrambide showcased his strong arm and promising bat in the fall and could earn some early playing time at catcher alongside veterans Luis Hernandez and Blaise Priester.
LSU will begin spring workouts next week.
