The path to the field at LSU for Causey in 2025 would have been difficult. The Tigers return statring cornerback Ashton Stamps and have added five-star signee DJ Pickett and Aidan Anding, the No. 1 cornerback in Louisiana. LSU also bolstered the secondary with transfers JaKeem Jackson from Florida and Mansoor Delane from Virginia Tech. Fellow class of 2024 signee PJ Woodland also returns after playing in 13 games with two starts as a true freshman.
Causey was a three-star prospect out of John F. Kennedy High in New Orleans and was ranked the No. 15 player in Louisiana.
