Alabama flips four-star TE from North Carolina

Alabama got a much-needed win Tuesday. However, this win was on the recruiting trail, and it featured one of the most sought-after tight ends in the country.
Kalen Deboer and his staff got a commitment from four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Northeast Georgia. Pritchett, a Top 250 prospect according to 247Sports, was previously committed to Mack Brown and North Carolina.
“All in all, I love everything that the staff has envisioned for me,” Pritchett told BamaOnLine of his decision. “They have plans to use me in a scheme where I believe I will thrive. Also, just the program in and of itself; Alabama is a program that consistently pumps people into the NFL year in and year out. It’s an incredible opportunity for me to maximize my future and I can’t wait to get to work.”
Pritchett had over 25 offers from schools around the country including Michigan, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Miami. He becomes the 23rd commitment of Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class and bolsters Alabama’s No. 2 overall ranking in the 247Sports Team Composite rankings. The Tide also ranks No. 1 in the SEC for the 2025 cycle after Pritchett’s commitment, giving Alabama their 18th total four-or-five-star commitment in the class.
