Bowl Season is underway with 13 SEC teams playing in the postseason. Before toe meets leather for all the games let’s get to know some fun facts about the non-conference opponents from around the country they’ll be facing. 

Here’s everything you need to know about the Reliaquest Bowl between Alabama and Michigan.

Mascot – A dude named Willie who can’t read or wear shoes.

Founded In – 1817

Enrollment – 52,065

Acceptance Rate – 17.7 Percent

Mascot – An arrogant yankee bragging about school over sports

 

FUN FACTS & TRADITIONS 

Alabama 

1. Only school in history to win 18 national championships. Kinda.

2. Noted basketball school with a football problem

3. Nursing school has one of the best passing rates of any school in the country at 99.6 percent. The national average is just 69.7 percent.

 

Michigan 

1. Only school in history to pay a 17-year-old $12 million to play

2. Only alumni with their own section for serial killers on their Wikipedia page. Not kidding.

3. Considered a Public Ivy league school for academics and private Spy-vy league school for athletics.
