Attendance Report: A.T. Perry Absent From Saints Practice

NEW ORLEANS — After returning to the field for their second practice of the week, the New Orleans Saints mostly had their full roster on the field. However, one new absence could draw some concern and may even carve out an opportunity for a young undrafted rookie in their Week 1 action.
Here is the list of players not seen during the portion of Thursday’s practice that was not open to the media:
WR A.T Perry
DT Khalen Saunders
LB D’Marco Jackson
Perry’s absence is a new one and a potentially concerning one depending upon the team’s injury report which will be released later. If Perry’s injury is one that ends up keeping him off the field this weekend, undrafted rookie wideout Mason Tipton will likely remain active (otherwise a candidate to be inactive on gameday) and may end up seeing his NFL debut sooner rather than later.
The team could also choose to elevate either of their practice squad receivers Equanimeous St. Brown or Kevin Austin Jr. However, Perry had missed a practice at an earlier point this offseason for personal reasons, which could end up being the same here. More information will be made available with the injury report.
Rookie linebacker Jaylan Ford was seen working off to the side during the open viewing period and rookie tight end Dallin Holker was again an observer throughout.
