Auburn DB, LSU target Keionte Scott commits to Houston

Former Auburn defensive back Keionte Scott has committed to Houston, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Scott played three seasons at Auburn, racking up 133 career tackles over 27 games. Scott played three seasons at Auburn, recording 133 career tackles over 27 games. He started three games this season for the Tigers but saw limited action after suffering an injury and with the emergence of freshman standout Jay Crawford, a former Parkview Panther.

Scott also excelled as a returner during his time at Auburn, averaging 10.5 yards per return on 44 punt returns, including a 74-yard punt return for a touchdown.

LSU had been targeting Scott for one of its few remaining spots in the portal class. The Tigers have signed 14 players during the December window and currently hold the No. 1-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports.
