Brian Kelly comments on Brooks lawsuit

Last week details emerged about an ongoing legal situation regarding former LSU safety Greg Brooks and the LSU football program, among other entities.
On Monday LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly was asked for comment on the alleged negligence of his program.
“I think it’s well known, and we’ve talked about the love we have, our entire team, for Greg Brooks,” Kelly said. “A leader, beloved by his teammates. And we’ll continue to have that. Unfortunately, lawsuits come out in our culture and our society every day. It is what it is, but it doesn’t change the way we feel about Greg. Our support is going to be there. We hope and pray for only the best for him. But when it comes to lawsuits, our kids, players coaches, we just really focus on Greg…he’s the guy that we focus on, and we stay away from anything that has legal ramifications.”
Brooks played for Kelly and LSU in 2022 and early in 2023 before being diagnosed with a brain tumor. It has been over a year since the diagnosis and subsequent surgery to remove it. Brooks is still reportedly unable to walk or use his right hand. His speech is also compromised.
