Burrow, Thomas secure Player of the Month

A pair of Tigers took home honors in the NFL’s final month.
Joe Burrow was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month, and Brian Thomas Jr took home NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
The Bengals quarterback polish off a sparkling season with a monster December and January that saw him throw for 315 yards per game, 16 touchdowns and just five interceptions in his final six games. He finished the season as the NFL’s leader in passing yards, touchdowns, completions and attempts.
Thomas Jr. capped his rookie season with 100-yard games in three of the final four. Over Thomas’s final six games, the Jaguars wide out made 45 grabs for 593 yards and five scores.
Thomas finished third in the NFL in receiving yards behind fellow Tiger alums Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson.
The former Walker high School standout will be in heavy competition for the league’s Rookie of the Year honors with his former quarterback Jayden Daniels and Raiders tight end Brock Bowers who set the league tight end receptions record.
