Clark Lea updates Diego Pavia injury

Everyone’s favorite quarterback and underdog, Diego Pavia, has been banged up all week leading up to Saturday’s game against Auburn. Earlier today Clark Lea addressed the injury, and updated the media on how Pavia has progressed throughout the week.
“We’ve tried to put some restrictions on him but usually that doesn’t work. He wants to practice and he wants to play, so he comes out and goes to work. He’s been fine. Obviously we’ve just got to pay attention as the game goes,” Lea added. “I mean it’s just a physical game, it’s a tough defense. Nate’s gonna be ready, but we have full faith that Diego’s gonna be out there rolling, doing his thing.”
Pavia was injured in the Texas game last Saturday, but he was able to come back and finish the game for the Commodores in their three point loss to the Longhorns. Pavia has been one of the best stories in all of college football this season, and Saturday marks his return to Jordan-Hare stadium a year removed from leading New Mexico State to a 31-10 win over Hugh Freeze and the Tigers.
Pavia has led Vanderbilt to a 5-3 record while racking up over 2,000 yards of total offense along with 17 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
