Klubnik is coming off his best season as a Tiger, where he accounted for 43 touchdowns (36 passing, 7 rushing) and 3,639 passing yards in 14 games. He led the Tigers to the ACC championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff. The Tigers lost in the First Round at Texas, 38-24.
Coming out of Austin (TX) Westlake, Klubnik was a five-star prospect and the No. 1 quarterback according to the On3 Composite rankings. He played in 10 games with one start as a freshman in 2022 before taking over the starting role full-time the last two seasons. In three seasons, Klubnik has thrown for 7,180 yards, 57 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
The season opener in Clemson, SC, will feature Klubnik and Garrett Nussmeier, two quarterbacks who should figure prominently into early Heisman Trophy discussions.
