Daimion Collins has dislocated shoulder, return in question
11/27/2024
For the second consecutive season, Daimion Collins has dislocated his shoulder.
According to LSU head coach Matt McMahon, the junior forward will undergo further testing later this week. There is no timetable for his return to action.
Collins injured the shoulder attempting to dunk the ball Friday against Pittsburgh. He went to the ground and had to be helped off the court, favoring that right shoulder.
Collins provided valuable minutes off the bench for LSU in the team’s first four games. He’d scored 25 points and grabbed 21 rebounds. The 6-foot-10 former Kentucky Wildcat and McDonald’s All-American suffered the same injury last season which limited him to just six games in 2023-24.
Redshirt freshman Corey Chest and true freshman Robert Miller have started LSU’s six games at power forward. Senior Derek Fountain has also provided some frontcourt depth.
