A pair of LSU Heisman winners and four 2019 national champions were named NFL Pro Bowlers on Thursday.
Quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow earned the honor along with wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson as well as cornerback Derek Stingley Jr.
Daniels, just a rookie, has revitalized the Washington franchise, leading the Commanders to their first 11-win season since 1991.
Burrow and Chase have paced the NFL in passing and receiving yards all season long.
Burrow leads the NFL in completions, attempts, passing yards and passing touchdowns. Chase leads the league in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Only four players have won that triple crown since 1970.
Jefferson trails Chase by 133 yards and currently sits in second place.
Stingley Jr. is making his Pro Bowl debut in his third professional season.
Burrow, Chase, Jefferson and Stingley Jr. all starred on the 2019 national championship team at LSU.
