The nation’s No. 1 interior offensive line recruit still has LSU atop his wish list after the Tigers defensive line coach Bo Davis left for the New Orleans Saints.

Baton Rouge University Lab (La.) OL/DL Lamar Brown shared his reaction Thursday morning on his X account.

Brown is a five-star in the On3 Composite, ranked No. 12 overall and the No. 1 IOL nationally. The 6-foot-3, 285 pound rising senior plays both offensive and defensive line for U-High and could play either spot at the next level.

Davis, who played for LSU from 1990-1992, just completed his first season on Brian Kelly’s staff and spending the previous three seasons at Texas. The 54-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best defensive line coaches in football and is also a noted recruiter. Davis signed four defensive tackles in the 2025 class.
