Five-star Thomas flips from FSU to LSU

After a couple of five-star defections from LSU’s class in the last month, one was added on National Signing Day.
Solomon Thomas, a consensus Top 3 interior offensive lineman, flipped his commitment from Florida State to LSU and signed with the Tigers on Wednesday.
The Jacksonville product got a late start in football, not playing until his eighth grade year. He’s blossomed into a 6-foot-3-inch 315 lbs., blue chip prospect with offers from the Tigers, Seminoles and Florida Gators among others.
Thomas had been committed to Florida State since December of 2023, but after a dismal 2-10 season in Tallahassee, offensive line coach Alex Atkins was fired. Florida State has not yet filled that position.
Thomas took visits to LSU and Florida and ultimately signed with the Tigers. He joins cornerback DJ Pickett and running back Harlem Berry as five-star prospects in LSU’s 2025 class.
