Florida alters 2025 non-conference schedule

Florida has announced a change to their 2025 season opening opponent. The Gators were originally supposed to play FCS foe Florida A&M, but now will open the season against Long Island University. 

The Sharks are the only non-conference opponent on Florida’s 2025 schedule not from the Sunshine State. The other three opponents the Gators are currently scheduled to face are Miami, South Florida, and their annual regular season finale against Florida State.

The opener will be played on August 31st. This will be the second Power Four opponent the Sharks will play in as many years, losing this year at TCU, 45-0.
