Florida freshman quarterback DJ Lagway will return Saturday for the Gators game against No. 22 LSU, Billy Napier confirmed Thursday evening.
Lagway missed last week’s loss at Texas after suffering a hamstring injury the week prior against Georgia. The former five-star from Texas had to be carted off when the injury occured in the second quarter with the Gators leading, 10-3.
Aidan Warner started for Florida in the 49-17 loss at Texas. He was 12-for-25 passing with 132 yards and two interceptions.
Lagway has played in eight games this season, taking over as the starter when senior Graham Mertz was lost for the season due to injury. He is completing just under 61 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and five interceptions on the season.
LSU is coming off a lopsided hom loss to Alabama, 42-13. The Tigers have won the last five meetings against the Gators.
