Kentucky has landed another quarterback from the transfer portal.
This time it’s former Texas A&M, Auburn and Incarnate Word starter Zach Calzada who will head to Lexington for his seventh and final year of eligibility.
Calzada is the seventh quarterback transfer the Wildcats have signed since the 2021 class including three in last year’s class alone.
He began his career at Texas A&M where he most notably led the Aggies to their historic upset of No. 1 Alabama in the 2021 season. Since leaving College Station he’s made stops at Auburn and then Incarnate Word where he was named Southland Conference Player of the Year this past season.
Calzada finished the 2024 season with 3,791 passing yards and 35 touchdowns and over 4,000 yards of total offense.
