Former blue-chip Ja’Keem Jackson will transfer from Florida

The transfer portal doesn’t open until December 9, but the portal activity for players around the country is ramping up.
One of the latest names to announce his intention to transfer is Florida defensive back Ja’Keem Jackson.
Jackson was the No. 3 ranked cornerback in the 2023 recruiting class according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He played in 11 games as a freshman last season in Gainesville and started the first two games of the 2024 season before suffering an injury.
The 6-foot-1, 196 lbs, defensive back from Kissimmee, Fla., was a consensus four-star recruit across every major recruiting platform. Jackson had over 30 major offers from across the country but ultimately chose the Gators and then defensive backs coach Corey Raymond over Kentucky, Auburn, Tennessee, and Penn State.
He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
