A consensus Top 40 player nationally in the 2023 recruiting class, Womack never established a consistent role with the Tigers. He recorded 13 tackles in 12 games as a freshman in 2023. This season, he played in only eight games, recording eight tackles.
Womack did not make the trip to Gainesville in November when the Tigers played at Florida. Brian Kelly did not comment on the nature of Womack’s absence, but LouisianaSports.net has learned is was discipline-related.
Womack is the fourth LSU player intending to enter the portal, joining Rickie Collins, Landon Ibieta and CJ Daniels.
