Daniels joined LSU in 2024 after spending four seasons at Liberty. He redshirted with the Flames in 2022 and will use his extra Covid year for a sixth season of eligibility with the Hurricanes in 2025.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Daniels was a key cog in the LSU offensive wheel this season, recording 42 receptions for 480 yards. Before the regular season finale against Oklahoma, Brian Kelly raved about Daniels, “He’s a great leader and he’s been a glue guy for us in terms of consistency every single day playing through a more significant injury than maybe people realize.”
“All indications are that he’s going to be back next year,” Kelly said.
Eight days later, Daniels enters the Transfer Portal.
LSU returns Aaron Anderson, who finished second in receptions and receiving yards. The Tigers have also added three receivers via the Transfer Portal included former Freshman All Americans Barion Brown of Kentucky and Nic Anderson of Oklahoma.
