Thomas was a three star recruit from Eufala, Alabama in the 2021 class. He starred in his sophomore season at Mississippi State leading the team in receiving yards and touchdowns with 626 and seven, respectively.
He was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country via the transfer portal. He was the No. 11 ranked overall player and No. 7 wide receiver in the portal for that cycle. However, the onfield talent has never been the issue. Thomas’ issues off the field have recently kept him from playing.
Thomas was arrested on two misdemeanor battery charges and one felony cruelty to children charge. He did not see the field during the 2024 season with UGA. He entered the transfer portal in December after resolving his legal issues.
Thomas will have one year of eligibility remaining.
