Garrett Dellinger suffered high ankle sprain at Texas A&M

LSU’s veteran offensive line lost a key cog on Saturday in College Station.
Senior Garrett Dellinger suffered a high ankle sprain in the loss to Texas A&M, according to head coach Brian Kelly.
“We’re hoping it will be a recovery week for him,” Kelly said.
Dellinger was replaced by redshirt freshman Paul Mubenga on Saturday against the Aggies. Pairing Mubenga with center and fellow freshman DJ Chester makes the Tiger especially young on the interior of the offensive line. Dellinger has started 30 games over his four years at LSU.
Mubenga would be making his first collegiate start against Alabama if his number is called.
LSU is off this weekend, giving offensive line coach Brad Davis extended time to determine how to best move forward. Redshirt freshman Tyree Adams had been the team’s sixth offensive lineman, but he suffered a sports hernia during warmups of the Ole Miss game and will miss the remainder of the season.
