Garrett Nussmeier has returned to the ballgame
On the third snap of the second quarter against Oklahoma, Nussmeier was sacked from behind by R Mason Thomas. He remained down until the LSU medical staff could rush to his aid. Upon leaving the field, the junior quarterback walked gingerly to the medical tent to be evaluated further.
When Nussmeier emerged from the tent moments later, he did not have his shoulder pads on. He jogged straight to the LSU locker room.
Vanderbilt transfer AJ Swann entered the game at quarterback. Swann started 12 games in two seasons at Vanderbilt.
Nussmeier returned to the sideline midway through the second quarter. He suited back up and appears ready to return to the game.
