Georgia DB to enter transfer portal

Georgia defensive back Julian Humphrey plans to enter the transfer portal, he announced Sunday on his social media. The portal window isn’t officially open until December 9th.

Georgia will play in the SEC Championship game against Texas on Saturday. Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart seemed to indicate that Humphrey will not be with the team.

“No status (change) that I’m aware of. I saw the same thing you saw,” Smart said during his first press conference with the media ahead of the game. “We’re worried about the guys we’re going to go play Texas with.”

Humphrey started the first ten games this season for Georgia but has seen his role diminish the last two games. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
